Terms and conditions related to the Guidelines on the protection of personal information relating to applicants
Even though CAE strives to implement reasonable methods designed to protect your personal information, CAE cannot guarantee that such personal information will not be lost, accessed, used unlawfully or modified in a fraudulent manner since no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure or confidential. You hereby acknowledge that CAE does not accept any responsibility whatsoever in the event that your personal information unintentionally falls into the hands of a third party without your consent.
All the information provided in your application is complete and accurate. It is your responsibility to inform CAE of any modification to the information provided in this application form.
Provision of any false statements or information may be considered sufficient grounds for dismissal (if hired) without any prior notice or compensation in lieu of notice. CAE is authorized to investigate all statements contained in this application. CAE is also given permission to contact the academic institutions, employers and other references provided in this application (unless otherwise indicated).
Applications may be sent to all entities in which CAE holds a direct or indirect interest, including in foreign jurisdiction. CAE’s representatives, including group leaders, managers and recruiters, are authorized to access, use and disclose, to those whose functions require it, the information provided in my application for the purposes of selection, recruitment and, if hired, for purposes related to my employment with CAE. Similarly, CAE is authorized to share any information obtained from the references identified in the submitted application.
The information provided in this application form may be provided to third parties if required by law.
The dynamics of the Internet may mean that information is sent electronically to servers outside of the country in which you have applied for a position. While there is a risk that countries to which information is transferred will not be subject to an information protection regime as rigorous as that of the country in which your job application has been made, we will always take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and adequately protected in accordance with the relevant privacy policy.
The information provided in this application form may be sent to and retained by members of the CAE in United States of America and may therefore become available to the U.S. Government or its agencies under lawful order made in that country.
Subject to the time limits prescribed by law, CAE will keep your personal information for a maximum of 12 months (6 months for Germany) after the deadline indicated for the job for which you are applying, after which time it will be destroyed (the “Retention Period”), unless you are hired. If you are hired, CAE may retain, use and disclose, to those whose functions require it, personal information provided in the submitted application for purposes related to your employment, if necessary. During the Retention Period, your personal information will be used and disclosed under the same conditions as those described above and in CAE’s Privacy Guidelines.
After the expiry of the Retention Period, it is the applicant’s responsibility to submit a new application for a position with CAE.
CAE will, to the maximum allowed by applicable legislation, communicate to you, upon request, documents in your file and information regarding your application.
The preceding terms and conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Quebec. I acknowledge that the Courts and tribunals of the district of Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute resulting from or related to the use of this site. Such dispute will be submitted before a Court or a tribunal of the competent jurisdiction in the district of Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada.
Guidelines on the protection of personal information relating to applicants for employment with CAE Inc. and its affiliated organizations or corporations
At CAE, protecting your privacy is very important to us. As part of its commitment to conduct its business with the highest ethical standards, CAE adopted the following Privacy Guidelines to ensure that all personal information collected, used, stored or disclosed by CAE and its affiliated organizations or corporations, in the course of its selection and recruitment process, is managed in compliance with the applicable legislation regarding the protection of personal information.
These Privacy Guidelines apply to all applicants for employment with CAE. It pertains to the protection of personal information including, but not limited to, your name, postal and email addresses, telephone number(s), and all information contained in the submitted employment application form.
Why we collect personal information
In the course of carrying on its business, CAE collects, holds, uses, discloses and communicates certain personal information pertaining to you for the following purposes: 
  • Selecting and recruiting its work force;

  • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements; and

  • When hired by CAE, the information you submit in the application will form part of your employment record with CAE. This information will be retained, used and further disclosed in connection with purposes related to your employment (including, but not limited to, payroll administration and the provision of insurance and other benefits).

The personal information collected by CAE is used exclusively for the purposes listed above and for no other purpose.
From time to time, CAE may update the purposes for which it collects, holds, uses, discloses and communicates personal information. Such amendments will be posted on this site.
Should you disagree with the change, you should remove your application.
Collection, Use and Disclosure
CAE collects only such information as is necessary to meet the purposes set out in these Guidelines. Your personal information will only be disclosed to third parties where we have your consent to do so or where such disclosure is required or permitted by law or to a third party that is being used by CAE and has agreed to protect the personal information in the same manner as CAE is committed to you.
CAE may also disclose or communicate certain personal information without your consent, but will only do so to the extent permitted by law or where such information is required by a Court or by persons authorized by law. In connection with the sale, assignment or other transfer of CAE, or its business or assets, we may transfer your personal information to another entity if such entity agrees to treat your personal information in accordance with these Privacy Guidelines.
Retention
Unless otherwise required or prohibited by law, we will retain your personal information for a period of 12 months (6 months for Germany) from your last change.
Accuracy
In order to ensure the accuracy of your personal information, you are invited to update your profile as changes occur.
Security measures
CAE undertakes to ensure that the personal information held by it is protected by means of adequate physical, administrative and technical safeguards.
Only authorized personnel of CAE who require the information for the performance of their duties will have access to personal information.
In the course of our business activities, we avail ourselves of the services of mandatories, agents or non-related organizations, which, from time to time, are given access to the personal information held by us in order to allow them to perform the tasks entrusted to them (for example, for maintenance, data processing, payroll services and other service issues). CAE ensures that all its affiliated organizations and corporations and all its agents adhere to its policies and guidelines, including its privacy guidelines and applicable legislation regarding the protection of personal information, particularly in the context of the security of such information.
Transparency, access to personal information and correction
You may have access to all personal information held by CAE that concerns you. This information will be kept at our head office in Ville Saint-Laurent. You will be informed in advance of reasonable charges that apply in connection with the request for access. Such charges may relate to the transcription, reproduction or transmission of personal information held by CAE.
You may change or correct your personal information, if necessary and permissible, by updating your profile using the CAE career site.
Withdrawal or modification of consent
Subject to legal restrictions and reasonable notice, you may withdraw or modify your consent regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information at any time by removing your application.
Visiting CAE’s Websites
A visitor to CAE’s Websites is not required to reveal any personal information, nor is such information collected passively by electronic means.
CAE’s Web server does not collect visitor information in the form of the visitor’s domain or Internet Protocol but does collect information regarding which pages are accessed. This information is used internally, only in aggregate form, to better serve visitors by helping CAE to manage its websites, diagnose any technical problems and improve the content of its websites.
In some instances, “cookies” may be used on our Website. A “cookie” is a piece of information that our Web server automatically sends to your browser for storage on your computer, which then permits our Web server to recognize you when you return to our site. You may choose to change your parameters to disallow the use of “cookies”. However, portions of our site will not function if you do not accept “cookies”.

If you are not satisfied with, or you wish to submit comments concerning, our Privacy Guidelines or its application by CAE, you may convey your concerns, suggestions or complaints to our Privacy Officer who will deal with the matter.
CAE reserves the right to amend or update these terms.
